Hotel Forty Five, Macon, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

It was very clean and a nice ambiance in the room.. It was very well kept up and nicely decorated. The location was just weird. You could only reach it from a one-way street which was way overcrowded. Stuck in a traffic mess. Only parking is valet, which I'm not fond of. The parking is listed as $30 a day , which was true. Overnight parking is $45. I'm sure most people booking a room are staying overnight! We checked in late, and only their rooftop bar was open, way over priced! With about 10 seats total. $42 for a double.shot and draft beer. Free breakfast is not what you think of as a free breakfast. You are given a $15 voucher for each guest you can use at their overpriced restaurant on site. The food was very good, though! I felt like we were scammed on pricing, but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, perfectly located in the center. Room was pretty, nothing to complain about, also a nice reception, where we got a view tips about where to get dinner (we arrived rather late after our long flight and a drive from ATL to Macon). The area is highly walkable. You can use a valet - but if you don't mind walking a few steps, there's ample street parking, which is free during the night until 8am

Location. Hotel Building is interesting and unique. The hotel is within walking distance to all restaurants and shops.

The entire staff is super friendly in the valet parking had to go the extra mile due to the elevator being out of service on the parking garage, and the stairwell was locked as well. They definitely got their steps in for the day and with all that in front of them, they were still super friendly. We went to a concert, and it was directly across the street, which means is the ideal place to stay.

Excellent hotel that was repurposed from a historical downtown office tower. Decor and themes were well thought out and accentuate the growing vibrancy of the local area. The view from our 11th floor room at the NW corner of the building looked out over the building that housed the radio station that paved James Brown's road to stardom and the neighborhoods where Little Richard was raised and where two founding members of the Allman Brothers Band died a few months apart in motorcycle accidents. Yes, the history of this place is tangible and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
